Visit from Le Pellerin in 2012

We are looking forward to welcoming a party of nearly thirty guests from Le Pellerin, who have decided to share the celebrations of the Queens Diamond Jubilee at the beginning of June with their twinning partners. Although many of the party have come to North Ferriby previously, we are delighted to see a number of new faces in the group. Since the NantesEast Midlands route has ceased operation, the French visitors will fly from Dinard to LeedsBradford on Saturday 2nd June, where they will be collected and brought back to North Ferriby to meet (again) their host families. Over the weekend they will join in the 40s/50s Tribute Night at the Duke, the Big Lunch on the Sunday and the Fun Day, Flotilla, Beacon Lighting and Fireworks on the Bank Holiday Monday, as well as spending time with their hosts, before flying home on the Bank Holiday Tuesday. A short visit, but one which will help them see North Ferriby celebrating. It is nice to be able to have a Festival of our own to show them, remembering the fantastic flower festivals we have experienced in Le Pellerin.
